Managing two slightly misaligned shafts so they still transmit torque is easy with the right kit. This flexible coupling flector from SKF sits between two hubs to act like a cushion. It dampens vibrations and prevents shock loading, which is when the misalignment causes a sudden increase of load, creating a hammering effect. The flector helps prevent problems such as premature bearing, seal, shaft or coupling failure, overheating, or foundation screws coming loose. It's designed for a 44.5mm diameter shaft, often found in pumps, compressors and other rotating equipment.
