This compact 300 W DC to AC power inverter from RS PRO is designed to be connected to a car battery for the charging of appliances on-the-go or in emergencies. It converts DC (direct current) voltage to alternating current (AC), which is how mains electricity is supplied in homes and other buildings. Car batteries produce DC voltage, which is incompatible with most household appliances.

This inverter generates pure sine wave – a smooth AC that works best with delicate electronics. It's lightweight, easy to operate and comes in a hardwearing anodised aluminium case. A soft start mechanism limits the inrush current to prevent sudden jerks in operation and prevent any sudden stress to machinery.

The product's efficiency rating of over 90% means it loses very little heat during operation, while built-in controls prevent overheating and over-voltage. It's been rigorously tested to meet RS PRO's stringent quality standards.
