Premier Range Top Chest

Lid fitted with 2 gas struts for easy opening and to prevent the lid slamming shut potentially saving the user from injury. Anti - rust and solvent resistant powder coat finish with plastic bumpers fitted to each corner, perforated sides for accessories to be attached with robust strong side handles. Steel inner walls with rear locking security bars, unit has 45° angled corners to help prevent strain on the unit when being re-positioned and causing cracks. All drawers have 45mm ball bearing slides which give good drawer stability. Drawer load capacity up to 45kg for full width drawers and are a traditional design with a chromed drawer front. Bottom 3 drawers have separate drawer locks, which allow only one drawer to be opened at a time with an auto lock - the drawer locates with magnets when being closed. Fitted with 3mm EVA drawer liners. Total load capacity = 255kg which is an evenly distributed load tumbler style locks supplied with 2 keys.

The latest MIT400 mk2 series insulation and continuity testers are

designed not just for Electrical and Industrial, but with an exceptionally wide range of applications from electrical installations, cable testing, motor testing, automotive, ESD, panel building, avionics, maintenance etc.

Insulation testing has been enhanced with feedback controlled test voltages to limit over-voltage to 2%, rather than the industry standard 10-20%.

A variable range has been added to allow any intermediate voltage from 50 V to 1000 V in 10 V steps, where application specific test voltages are required that do not appear in the standard ranges.

Continuity testing is now significantly faster, and a single auto-ranging 0.01 Ω to 1.0 MΩ function replaces the “ohms” and “kOhms” ranges. Retained are the 200 mA and 20 mA test options.

Replacing the original MIT400 instruments the new units feature a redesigned case, back-stand, and 6 cell battery compartment with separate fuse access. All instruments are over-moulded for increased protection and achieve an IP54 weatherproof rating.

The range consists of four instruments:

Many engineers have a need to monitor their product in an environmental chamber with an oscilloscope probe to verify performance over a wide range of operating temperatures or to determine the cause of failures at high or low temperatures.

Until now, testing in extreme temperature ranges required engineers to use probes outside their specified operating temperatures, which can damage probes. Most active or passive probes in the market have a specified operating temperature range anywhere from 0 to 50 °C. However, Keysight’s N2797A extreme temperature active probe can be operated over a much wider –40 to +85 °C range. This allows you to operate the probe head and the supplied probing accessories inside a temperature chamber with the probe pod and oscilloscope located outside the temperature chamber.

For extended temperature testing with more extreme temperature range measurements, Keysight offers the N5450B InfiniiMax extreme-temperature extension cable with the InfiniiMax Series differential probing system, which gives engineers the ability to probe signals at even wider temperature ranges. When used with the Keysight N5381A differential solder-in probe head, this solution provides engineers with the widest temperature range coverage of –55 to 150 °C, which is the maximum temperature range specified for automotive electronics testing.

When accurate and repeatable current measurements inside the chamber are critical over wide temperature ranges, the N2820A/21A high-sensitivity current probes are the best choice, especially for precision current measurement applications. When the user-defined head is used with the N2820A/21A current probe, it provides the industry’s highest sensitivity current measurement solution among oscilloscope current probes, going all the way down to 50 uA with a maximum current range of 5 A operating over the temperature range of –55 to 150 °C.

This probing solution provides an ideal solution for engineers who need to validate and characterize their designs while operating within extreme temperature ranges, especially those working in the semiconductor, consumer, wireless mobile devices, automotive electronics, and computer industries.

Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS) today announced two new series of handheld digital multimeters (DMMs). In addition to offering the capabilities and measurement functions needed for the electronics and industrial test segments, the U1280 Series and U1240C Series handheld DMMs are extremely rugged and come with extended battery life to allow users to test and log data over a longer period of time.

With 60,000-count display resolution and 0.025 percent accuracy, the U1280 Series is Keysight's highest performance handheld DMMs. These 4.5-digit handheld DMMs offer the precision, accuracy and repeatability engineers need to meet the toughest requirements for electronics manufacturing, installation and maintenance work in the electronics test industry.

The U1240C Series 4-digit handheld DMMs come with 10,000-count display resolution and 0.09 percent accuracy, and provide a broad range of measurement functions for installation and maintenance work in industrial facilities. The U1240C Series also comes with unique features such as ZLOW and harmonic ratio. ZLOW provides low impedance mode to eliminate stray voltages. The harmonic ratio function gives an indication of the presence of harmonics.

"With extended battery life and IP 67 certification, the U1280 Series and U1240C Series are designed to be reliable, durable and robust," said Ee Huei Sin, vice president, Keysight's General-Purpose Electronic Measurement Division. "With these new handheld DMMs, engineers can confidently perform tests and troubleshoot over a longer period of time even in tough electronics or industrial settings."

The U1280 Series and U1240C Series are very robust and are suited for operation in the field. These handheld DMMs are certified to IP 67 for complete protection against dust and immersion of water up to one meter, and are capable of withstanding up to a three-meter (ten feet) drop. Additionally, the U1240C Series is CAT IV 600 V and CAT III 1000 V compliant to improve user safety in electrical testing and measurement. Both series of handheld DMMs come with extended battery life – 800 hours for the U1280 Series and 400 hours for the U1240C Series – so users can continue testing for longer periods of time. This is especially important for industrial test engineers whose ultimate goal is to keep the production line running seamlessly to prevent unplanned shutdowns.
